THE KINGDOM’S FIELD NOTES
Alliance rallies: plan, gather, attack
A rally combines troops around a leader before the attack travels to its target. Joining is a real troop march, not an instant addition. Agree on the target and countdown with your alliance first, then check that your troops can reach the leader in time.

1. Choose a valid target
You need an alliance to start a rally. Select a valid enemy city or a monster that supports rallies; a solo monster is not a rally target. For monsters, check that the target is alive, has not expired and is reachable in open territory. Read the preview and coordinate the army you need. A rally is not a promise of victory or a fixed reward.
2. Set the gathering time
The leader can choose 1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes. A longer window gives distant members time to reach the leader. You need a free march slot and an army within your own march limit. The shared rally limit depends on the leader’s Hall and research. Rally-capacity research expands that limit; it is not a prerequisite for starting every rally.
3. Join before the travel deadline
Open the available rally and select troops while it is still gathering. You must belong to the same alliance or an eligible allied alliance. Your contribution must fit both your personal limit and the remaining rally space. Travel time depends on distance, troop speed and bonuses. Your march must arrive before gathering ends; clicking Join shortly before the timer expires may already be too late.
4. Check shields and action points
Starting or joining a rally against a player’s city removes your shield. Plan that exposure before confirming. Monster rallies use action points for starting and joining and do not remove your shield in the same way. These are different target rules: do not assume the protection behaviour of a monster rally also applies to a city attack.
5. Follow the march home
The leader can launch early, otherwise the countdown controls departure. After gathering, the army travels, fights and returns. Closing the browser does not stop these server timers. Read the battle report for the actual outcome and check losses or wounded troops. Your troops become available again when they return, not simply when the attack animation finishes.
Why joining can fail
Check the arrival time first, then free march slots, available troops, personal capacity and remaining rally space. For monsters, also check action points and whether the target still exists. A rally that has already launched cannot accept a new contribution. If you are too far away, coordinate a longer gathering window for the next rally rather than repeatedly pressing Join.
